In-School Programming: Skill Builders is available as an afterschool program, or as an intervention during the day in school

Schedule Options:

After school program one day a week, 90-120 minutes
In school programs during the day, flexible scheduling options

Program Objective: To implement therapeutic activities aimed at enhancing social functioning in students essential for successful integration within their community environments. Activities will be tailored to address specific needs, promote skill development, and provide training to reduce symptomatology, thus fostering community integration and social functioning. Skill development and training will be directly related to covered behavioral health diagnoses, with documentation requirements.

Foundation: At the start of each unit, our facilitators will set expectations, build rapport and lay the groundwork for relationships and student engagement. Clients will also engage in goal setting and self reflection.

Skill Building: Activities will be selected by our facilitators to target the needs of the clients in that group for that unit. Each session will provide the clients will tools to succeed in their community and support their growth and development.

The Skill Builders Curriculum allows for the length of units and the length of each session to be customized.

Reflection: At the end of the unit, the facilitator will give another opportunity for clients to reflect on their growth and progress and leave Skill Builders on a positive note.
